The third annual Legends in Their Own Minds art show was held Oct. 8 at Willis Gray Gallery on Second Avenue Southeast.

The show featured work from Scott Willis’ art class students.

Artists included Lucinda Burchel, Susan Conner, Trina Hunter, Carla Letson, Chandra Naylor, Jesslyn Reeves, Jill Bronaugh, Susan Estes, Patsy Roby, Judy Seymour, Deborah Shelton, Arabelle Wilder and Marshall Horton Wise.

Film festival premiere party

The premiere party for the first Southern Shorts Film Festival was held at The Club House Cafe in Athens.

The event featured Southern fare like barbecue and fried green tomatoes.

Those who submitted winning entries emerged from a limo and walked the red carpet into the Southern-themed gala, where movie lovers watched the winning entries. The festival received 26 submissions.
