Athens man robbed at gunpoint

ATHENS — Athens police were investigating an armed robbery Thursday of a Washington Street resident.

Capt. Marty Bruce said two black males pulled guns on the resident, forced him into his house and bound his feet and hands with duct tape before ransacking the residence. They took cash, jewelry and a cell phone.

Bruce said the suspects left in an older model Cadil-lac with 20-inch yellow tires.
