Agents arrested David Justin Pouncey, 33, left; Dustin Jay Dunkin, 28, center; and Candi Nicholle Price, 19, and charged each with first-degree unlawful manufacturing a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

HARTSELLE — Three Morgan County residents have been arrested on drug charges.

Sheriff Ana Franklin said agents from the Morgan County Drug Task Force and Alabama State Pardons and Parole went to a Hartselle residence Thursday after receiving information about the production of methamphetamine.

After obtaining consent to search the residence at 1397 Community Lane, agents discovered drug paraphernalia and a one-pot meth lab in a burn pile behind the house, Franklin said. She said agents also found empty cold medicine boxes, lithium battery packs, fuel and acid.

Agents arrested David Justin Pouncey, 33, and Dustin Jay Dunkin, 28, who live at 1397 Community Lane, and Candi Nicholle Price, 19, of J Blocker Road, Eva, who was at the residence, and charged each with first-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Franklin said Pouncey is on probation for unlawful possession of precursor chemicals.

All three are being held in Morgan County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail each.

What happened to working for a living?

Work, and miss out on all of the free Obama hand outs.

Make dope and pocket the money and get food stamps and free health care..........

sure, til you end up in prison. i dont think you thought your cunning analogy through there, c.

James, prison life is good. More unlimited health and dental care, free meals, no responsibility, order from catalogs to make crafts and sell them to the public, able to file for disability, Bible studies, shop at the Commissary, get mail and packages, have visitors that bring in all kind of fast food.....yep prison sure is a terrible place to wind up.........

they will not put them in prison they are walking all over my neighborhood now , caught with meth labs and drugs and burglaries , assault, you name it they let them walk free. I do not know what is wrong with the justice system , but it is broken just like our voting system , there is no way that worthless piece of crap in the white house could have got voted back in. It had to be rigged or they were afraid the Illegals , gays and entitlement folk would riot if he lost I suppose , but they have never played cowboys and entitlement folks have they. There has to be some way they can keep this trash off the street. the police bust their butts arresting them and they pop them out in a few hours to go right back to what they were doing , it makes no sense , they have more rights than citizens do it is sickening and a shame, and we have to pay for all their crap

Ann, if prison life is soooo good as you tend to think, maybe you wouldn't have a problem staying there!

TBONE, I WOULD HATE TO LIVE WHERE YOU LIVE. You must be miserable living in that neighborhood.

Until the Justice System changes in this Country, it's only going to get worse.

Herman, I worked in Prisons, so I don't "tend to think", I know.

Only a one pot meth-lab,undoubtedly a start up business, look how normal their unblemished skin is !

Dustin Dunkin always said he wouldn't get busted because his cousin is Shannon Fergeson who works for morgan co. drug task force......lol....you were wrong.....it only took 5 years but they got you!!!!
