MONTGOMERY (AP) — Police in Auburn are investigating the thefts of a BCS National Championship ring and a Southeastern Conference Championship ring from a football player's residence.
Police say the rings were stolen from Auburn University football player Blake Burgess' apartment this week.
The Opelika-Auburn News reported that a video game console and a jacket with the number 63 on the collar were also taken in the theft from Burgess' unlocked apartment.
He was listed as an offensive lineman on the Tigers' 2010 championship team.
