Disappointing - they should all be off the team. If strict measures aren't taken these football players will never learn.
Who cares how many yards Calloway ran and touchdowns he made. He is a criminal.
Boot 'em off. As a Bama fan, the youth of today do not need role models like these.
Amen. The should have to accountable for their actions. Even if I am a Bama Fan their have some standards set here. Not a slap on the hand or they will end up like McClain. In the news all the time.
2nd rate thugs.
It's not like Saban doesn't have better players waiting for a chance to get in the program.
Drop 'em, from the team and cancel their scholarshis. That's it. Move on.
thug trash just like Rolando
I agree with most of the comments even if they were auburn players they should give scholarships to those that are worthy and take those from those who are not. It's a sad day when Yards ran in any season can be used as some sorta pass for crime or do-overs.
boot em.
I hope this is the last we hear from these people. Surely Saban can do better than this.
They should be dismissed. Thugs, nothing but thugs that were given a chance of a life time and choose to throw it away.
See you later EX-Bama boys.
I would be VERY surprised if Saban let them back on the team. Right now, they aren't proven guilty, but they will be with evidence like that. I imagine UA is not allowed to take action against "alleged" criminals.....only ones proven guilty in court, or in this case, confessed to.
It continues to be a sick feeling I have when young players with possible GOLDEN FUTURES allow the "hood mentality" of crime and guns, especially guns, to overtake their lives and make terrible choices. If they plead drug use and "not able to control themselves", too bad. As adults, as with all of us, you commit a crime...you pay. Possibly in prison, with court fines, and probationary programs. These guys just ruined their futures as well....and it would be same if the bank president did the same thing. Its CHOICES....and it has nothing to do with race or anything else! (in fact, I do not know personally if these guys are black, white, or any other race. The "hood" refers to crime and especially gun voilence....and can be practiced by anyone of any race. Its a thug mentality."
I think the mention of "number of yards" is NOT an attempt to defend his actions.....its just to show how VERY MUCH potential this guy had, and by his choice to rob and beat up others, he gave it all away. Hope that MacBook Pro and free cokes from the vending machine were worth possible millions!!
As I've said many times before. You gotta be a thug now to play the foolsball!
Thugs for sure. The biggest issue today with most youths like is a total lack of discipline. A good old fashion beating from their parents would have helped.
