GO Bentley! Guess he's not totally useless!

In other news, Alabama still last in health coverage....next to Mississippi.

Thank you Gov. Dr. Robert Bentley. Entitlement is not the answer to "taking back America"! I support our governor's decision to take a stand against the "Obama Don't Care" Unaffordable Care Act! I am a believer of the old fashion way...only purchase what you can afford. I am a working 59 year old male and I don't think I should be over taxed to pay for a health care for those who can work but, are too lazy. Keep up the good work governor!

Even after there have been 100's of articles release some of your people still don't get it, do you? This is NOT for free health care. The non working, welfare receiving, lazy people (as many like to call them) ALREADY receive free health care.

THIS bill covers lower income people, ya know, the ones that are working for minimum wage and struggling to get by. They are the ones people rely on every day to take their fast food order, ring up their gas, mow their yard, deliver their pizza. These people work hard for what little they get and are offered (for the most part) no health care by their employer, yet their salary is too little to be able to afford a plan on their own. They are the people that most need healthcare assistance, because if they have a medical issue they can't afford to get it taken care of on their meager salary.

Shame on you greedy, selfish people for trying to deny affordable healthcare to the lower-income working class. As a citizen of this state, you, along with our governor, embarrass me, though you certainly don't surprise me.

Very well said Angie, but I dont believe most of these people will understand, they hear onley what they want to

Well said Angie, but they also forget if they don't want to play the Feds will take over the program.

Most of these comments are form Teapublicans, that could care less about the poor, disenfranchised people of this state, and more than likely the ones who signed the petition to secede from the state.

The misinformed may be led (by disinformation) down a primrose path to the guillotine.

Disinformation is intentionally false or inaccurate information that is spread deliberately. For this reason, it is synonymous with and sometimes called black propaganda. It is an act of deception and false statements to convince someone of untruth. Disinformation should not be confused with misinformation, information that is unintentionally false.

Unlike traditional propaganda techniques designed to engage emotional support, disinformation is designed to manipulate the audience at the rational level by either discrediting conflicting information or supporting false conclusions. A common disinformation tactic is to mix some truth and observation with false conclusions and lies, or to reveal part of the truth while presenting it as the whole (a limited hangout).

So how exactly will the federal Affordable Care Act be funded?? The USA is already Trillions of dollars in debt . . . what we gonna do, pile on more on top of this?

well said Angie! Very smart and INFORMED lady you are. Agree 100%!

Insurance is not a right. If you are working for a company that does not provide it look in the mirror and decide if you are going to do what it takes to change your situation. You make the change don't expect the government to do it for you. Get an education or a trade and I bet you will find a job with health care coverage. Anything worth having is worth working for. Why should my hard work pay for you?????????

I'll pray for you tonight Iris.

IRIS . . you nailed it. Insurance is not a right, it is a benefit.

Iris and Tony, do you have any idea how selfish and horrible it is to have that attitude. If it were as easy as Iris seems to think for people to go to college and/or get a better job with benefits, don't you think they would? I doubt there is anyone out there working a low-paying job that is happy with struggling day to day just to pay for their basic needs.

One sad, simple fact of life is some people are smarter than others. Some are able to go to college and smart enough to find a job with good benefits. Some aren't. And some hard working people come from nothing, or had parents that maybe weren't the best role models in life, and these days without some sort of support from family or damn good friends, it's almost impossible to work one's way out of poverty.

Some employers know this, and take full advantage. They can rake in millions using the labor of the uneducated and the desperate, and people like you think this is acceptable behavior because the poor people don't/won't "better" themselves and their situations.

This Thanksgiving, I will give thanks that I don't have the attitudes that you two do towards the less fortunate. I never, ever want to lose my compassion for other humans that have not had the breaks in life that I have had. I won't do what the poster above said and pray for you, but I think you both need to take a hard look in the mirror and pray for yourselves and your lack of compassion towards others.
