ATHENS — State troopers have reopened both northbound lanes of Interstate 65 after an 18-wheeler collided with an Alabama Department of Transportation work crew about 4 a.m. today.
The right lane remained closed until midafternoon as workers clear the scene. The accident occurred near exit 344, seven miles south of Athens.
Four people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers have not released their names.
