CSI they ain't! Not even sure they own a finger print kit!

You have to catch them or protect your neighbors/ Most pepole dont evan know their neighbors or where they work! They cant be everywhere! they only have so many cops on patrol they got me and then got my sister house 1 week later nearly 2 yrs ago kicked in the back doors!

Gee now you folks know what we go through nearly daily and weekly , I have complained and called and asked everyone I know and told every agency I can think of , we have walked the streets asking for signatures to start a watch , to many people over here that are involved with whats going on to get any signatures to get what we need . We are well armed -the ones they have,nt broke in and stolen -- shooting to kill is going to be the only answer. I know the police force is limited , but they need to consider what the city of decatur housing authority has moved into this and their area and realize they are the root of the crimes around here.

I,m sorry you folks had a string of break ins in your neighborhood. We have been dealing with it for a year or two now with no help - As I said before they will ride thru once or twice then you don,t see them anymore till something bad happens - -little late then isn,t it ?? Looks like what Gail said we are going to have to catch them our self no one else is going to then AL and Jesse will be here parading up and down the streets and hollering we are profiling and violating some thug criminals rights

We watch everything over here that we can and then report it to no avail - - there are people doing something over here nearly around the clock -- most of the neighbors are the ones doing the crimes - - you can,t walk the streets safely - you can,t even have landscaping in your yard they steal it -- they vandalize our buildings and fences -- they curse you as they walk down the street - - they drive by with music so loud it rattles the dishes and windows in your house day and night disturbing anything you may be trying to do - like sleep when your sick or tired - - then if you don,t lock and tie and nail down any and everything anywhere outside and light and guard it you can,t have anything in your yard to look decent they steal it or destroy it - - Be glad to trade houses with the folks on moadus although the city will find a way to move this trash in around them too if they have,nt already - - they create high crime areas with high concentrations of thugs and their cousins -- one moves to the area then the housing authority moves them in by droves and floods the area with all the trash that should have been kept in stonegate - - they have flooded the wimberly drive area with it now too just like they have saturated our neighborhood with them in their apartments they built in our back yards -- we want the fence put back up like it was when they were built - - point mallard gets to be fenced off from their low income mess why can,t we?? instead of them roaming our streets day and night ? Its time a concentrated task force was formed and organized to address this group of thugs and thieves , burglarizing , terrorizing , vandalizing and disrupting Decaturs citizens lives -- we are tired of it and are gonna have to do it our self I suppose --.WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR THUG CRAP -- we will catch seems no one else is going to -- I think they all need to be moved to point mallard and decatur country club area -- rent them some house over there so they can enjoy this thug trash too Decatur housing authority listening ? we don,t want anymore of them

Maybe if we could get a law on the books to prosecute the landlords and decatur housing authority for renting to or providing housing to know criminals and drug thugs and trash with a criminal background it might help to slow down their influx in to other areas ? some one needs to be held responsible for all the lives they are disrupting - - people barely able to survive in this economic mess the goverment has created then they pile trash around to steal what we do have and take what we have broke our backs working for - - this trash does,nt want to work they want to steal mine and yours -- WE need a police station over here and patrols over here and a group like the old street hawks that cleaned up parts of the area this mess came from -- they moved them over here they need to move them on somewhere else we are tired of them and their crap- - why does no one listen ?? used to be an officer living in your neighborhood was a benefit -- that does,nt help over here -- Decatur we need help and need it now -- not next month not a week from now we want it now we want this crap stopped there has to be a gang or group of people behind all of this - - some one is going to get hurt -- stop these thugs

They only want our money - easy money. Traffic tickets are the priority! They are too busy camping out on Country Club Road to go patrol other city streets.

I think T-bone is right, we have to do our own policing. It's cheaper to enforce the law ourselves - dead criminal(s) won't need my tax dollars in prison.

Our home was broken into o Feb 1 .and we still have not seen a detective and these folks get broke into in june and a detecive has already beenn there now I feel robbed al over again ,

Can someone say "vigilante". Yep, someone will get hurt and it will be an inocent by stander.

Not vigilantes fed up citizens tired of the thugs and trash

Choot'em!

To T-Bone: What area of Decatur do you live in ? (I don't need specifics, just wondering a general area)

I used to live in South West Decatur, over on Robinson Street, just off of Sandlin Road. It was a Great neighborhood! We had wonderful neighbors - back then...I live there in the 1970's and 1980's. It was a very quite neighborhood.. mostly older people lived there and families with children. There was not much traffic on the streets either...which was good for walking and jogging too. ( I used to be a runner)

I must agree with T-Bone - about protecting our homes and families oursel f- If you cannot rely on the police to be there when you need them. We MUST arm ourself ! I own a gun ... and I plan to use it ! if I need to. If someone tries to get in my house or comes in my house.... I have no problem shooting a gun....

MY MOTTO :

SHOOT FIRST !!!

ASK Questions Later !

It is NOT right ....for hard working, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens to have some thug to come in and take my stuff that I have worked so hard to pay for ! ! !

Don't try to take my stuff....Don't try to hurt my family (my family includes my cats and dogs too).... I do not have ANY patience with people that do those kinds of things .

FED UP with People who have NO Respect for others ! ! !

Hey T-Bone, just so you know, I used to live in Southwest Decatur, Cedar Lake Rd and live on the section 8 program much like other people of all races do. I know for a fact that you cannot be on the program provided by the Decatur Housing Authority, and have felonies, barely a misdemeanor depending on the crime. Just wanted to let you know that there are some of us that work shitty jobs where we dont get paid much, have children to take care of and due to our lack of money have to depend on the help of the Housing Authority to help us support our kids. Not all people are trustworthy, but not all in this program are criminals and thugs either. I pray that something is done before people start pulling triggers and aim to kill because a wounded knee is good for a memory and good lesson NOT TO GO BACK INTO SOMEONES WINDOW FOR ANY REASON, NOT A MURDER YOU CAN NEVER TAKE BACK!!

Killing a thief in the act is not MURDER...it's well deserved justice. In today's pathetic society wounding someone to teach them a lesson is just setting yourself up to be sued in this stupid sue supported society! SHOOT TO KILL PEOPLE AND LET THE LEFT OVER WASTES OF OXYGEN TAKE LEARN THE LESSON FROM IT!

My parents live on Harold which is off Modus Rd and their house was broken into 4 times last year. Do you think the police did anything about it?? We had 3 different police officers and their response---- the first one said to move, the second one was not at all interested in filing a report and when I said I would rig up a shot gun to shoot the @&*%&# he said I could not do that. We also suspected who we thought did it and ask if he would go check because several of the tools had our name on it and he said they just cant walk in someones house and check for stuff. The third one was the only one that actually cared. He also came out the fourth time with 2 back ups. Of course he has now been sent to Mississippi but we still have the other two ass holes that dont give a damn about law abiding citizens. My parents have sense bought 5 guns so they are ready if the sobs show back up. Doubt they will since they have taken everything of value. The best thing anyone can do is get some dogs. I have several. I hope the people find the intuders because the police is no help.
