It's sad when people have to go outside and smoke and even worse when they throw their butts down on the ground.
Yes that is sad but what is even worse is how bad their body odor stinks. It is also sad that now days you can't even go to the funeral home for respect to the dead without wading through smokers lined up at the front door. we visited parkway last week and when we arrived back home we had to wash our clothing it was so many lined up at the front door. you would think they would aleast go to the back of the building so people would not have to walk through it.
Agreed....sad indeed. Additionally, smokers inherit an "entitlement" mentality about littering. It becomes in their minds (and society's) as a low level crime or a non-crime. Federal statistics have shown for years that smokers are less productive than non-smokers in general. Yet many work place guidelines in the past were built around smoker's needs not the un-addicted. We are changing slowly, but everytime a smker lights up, they endanger everyone, not just themselves.
Man, them people are COOL. I want to be just like them when I grow up!!!!!
Charles, why doesn't the city ban smoking by its employees?
I wonder if any of the posters on this forum would say their comments to these people faces??? I seriously think not!
You darn skippy I would. I always hold my nose and look at smokers crazy when I'm entering or exiting a business and they are standing right in the entrance. I'll also tell them that they dropped something when they throw butts on the ground and then stand there to see their reaction. Most stuff thrown on the ground affects everybody, not just the ones who do it. If left alone, a cigarette butt will eventually make it to our rivers and streams wrecking havoc on our system but I could continue on and on. As a former smoker for ten years, I never smoked where people were eating, threw my butts on the ground, or stood in an entrance to an establishment where other people were because I had common courtesy for my fellow man. This seems to be a thing of the past because now we are nothing more than a "me" society. Respect others, watch out for others, dispose of your butts, and I don't have a problem. Don't even get me started on shi**y diapers thrown on the ground in business parking lots either. IfbI ever see someone do that, they'll probably wind up with it on their face or worse. Throw that crap in the trash!
I have no problem with telling people how nasty a cigarette is or how bad they smell... Sad picture, look how young these people are....
I know a young man who just past away leaving a young son, who at one time would not listen to the warnings about the danger of smoking.... before he died, he wished he had of listened when people begged him to stop.. The number one cause of his cancer is smoking and second leading cause is second hand smoke..
I hate it when they line up outside to smoke then you have to walk through it to get into the store! I don't smoke and I don't want to smell it nor do I want to smell it on someone else- if one smokes, I'm sorry it stinks on you.
Tell it all sister Rebecca! Tell it all! I too am a former smoker, And I also do tell people about the dangers of their habit more so the ladies of how much of a turn off it is, They simply respond with. " What makes you think you could get with me anyway" And my response will be I wasn't trying to get with you just giving a man's perspective that's all.
And yes walking through a gauntlet of smoke and toxins is rude and simply holding it behind you is not good enough.
Happily quit for 14 years now.
i dont know whats worse walking through smoke or someone whom bathed in their cologne or purfume. actually the perfume gets me to sneezing so bad & you cant go inside to get away from it because the person that took a bath in it is in the store too. it really STINKS. or someone who didnt bathe at all,,,,where does it end????? & alcoholics out drivin with stale old liquire breath. risking my life too, ononononononononononon......................................................... then again you probly have a better chance of dying just driving down the road & someone has roadrage & shoots you....
BTW congrats to the quiters. (=
atleast they are working (random thought lol) the blonde should die her eyebrows too, that is a huge peev of mine,
People That Smoke Don"t Realize How Much That They Stink,,,,I Will Not Be Around Anyone That Smokes
Linda some people think your purfume stinks...
I wish someone would make a snide remark where i could hear it. You'd be spitting your teeth out... Or what few you had.. Ignorant, judgemental jackasses
