She work her tail off - stayed late at night - came in early - was always professional - and the only one who actually knew how a municipality was supposed to be ran - and had an infinitesimal knowledge of Decatur and its business. Stanford screwed that up. Stanford booted her out. Stanford cost us the $93K. And for what, oooh, to hire his good buddy Wally !! Didn't need Wally with Gail employed. I don't think Gail can beat Kyle. I had always thought Kyle was on his way to being the best mayor we ever had... then I talked to him a few days ago. Busbey is known statewide for her knowledge and skills as a city clerk and as an elections official. She is a professional who will listen to the concerns of City Council members and city employees alike. She would be an excellent mayor.

Busbey, is nice, but not competant. If everyone realized what balls she dropped in crucitial situations they wouldn't even consider voting for her. People see what they choose to see, or what is most visible. Kyle gave the most to this city and the rewards are still being seen. Cole is not offering a solid foudation or solutions. Mayors dont run this town the council does. If you can find a mayor who can work WITH the council and not embarras us, then you have a real winner. Kyle can do this. Busbey cant.

Don Stanford seems to work with the council just fine. What solutions is Kyle offering? The solution for his lazy no job having self to get paid 106 thousand dollars a year for being lazy. The guy couldn't even run a boat repair in a place called THE RIVER CITY for crying out loud. Kyle even running is ridiculous to me. A failed businessman isn't going to be a good mayor. I went to the mayors office to set an appointment to talk to him about overgrown vegetation in the neighborhood on city ROW and I got no appointment from him I now know who I will cast my vote for.........NOT HIM the arrogant A$$

please like the Kyle blunders....I really think his term as mayor was solid. He also did not need a $100k+ assistant. I do not remember an abundance of rate hikes from utilities either (Stanford's Term). The .01 tax increase took place on 9-11-01 (Fowler's Term.) He is not an attorney and has actual experience on the job during a time the city did not look like a circus.

Don Kyle wanted to give up Wilson Morgan Park for a shopping center. He put that silly animal shelter there too. He couldn't even get a simple budget out on time. There is a reason we voted him out. HE WAS A DO NOTHING MAYOR THAT WAS JUST THERE FOR THE BIGGEST PAYCHECK HE'S EVER HAD.

Gail is probably the smartest candidate Decatur has ever had for mayor.
