Hubbard...spoken like a true union thug.

Why dont hubbert and joe reed go home/retire and that would create atleast two jobs right there. Each has over a million dollars in the drop and teachers are losing their jobs. Hubbert is putting himself ahead of the people he is suppose to represent.

Hazel...you are an idiot. Hubbert and Reed do not even work for the State. They and the AEA paid 100% of the money deposited into their DROP. [Yes, you read it correctly...Alabama pays $0 toward their retirement.] The State invested that money in order to pay the 4% interest into their DROP. Ted...if you were a teacher with a family to support and you were faced with a huge salary cut while corporations like GE, Lowe's, Walmart, ToysRUs, etc. paid little to no taxes while doing big business in our state, you would be upset, too. You would want someone to stand up for you.
