The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce presented “Oh! What Fun! Holiday Fashions and Ladies Night In,” Thursday, Nov. 15, in an effort to raise funds for the Hartselle Fine Arts Center. The event featured a fashion show including local designers and shop, as well as vendor booths for a little Christmas shopping.
“I think it was great. I thought that the decorations, the stores, were great. The Chamber did a great job,” Fine Arts Center Executive Director Kelley Redmond said.
The fashions show, hosted by Miss Point Mallard 2012 Elizabeth Wesson, featured fashion trends from Robin’s Nest, Goody 2 Shoes, Uptown Girl, SheWater, Factory Connection, Shoefisticated, kazu k. designs, and Zoey’s Downtown.
The grand finale of the show presented creations from Hartselle’s own haute couture shop GrecoFiore, Inc., by Jeanette Fiore.
Before and after the show, guests shopped with vendors including, 31 Gift, Advocare, Celebrating Home, Factory Connection, Goody 2 Shoes, Paparzzi Jewelry and Hair Accessories, kazu k. designs, Mary Kay, Miche Handbags, SheWater, Premier Designs, Princess House, Scentsy, Stella & Dot, Willowhouse, and Zoey’s Downtown.
“People should feel encouraged and shop locally,” Redmond said.
Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce Director of Membership Angela Hale said in previous years they chamber has held a “Ladies Night Out” fundraiser and wanted to add to it this year.
“It’s the first time that we’ve ever had a fashion show. I think people were very surprised,” Hale said.
Hale said though they did not haveexact totals yet, she suspected the event hosted around 175 people, raising more than $1,500 for the Hartselle Fine Arts Center.
