42 years. How much money did our schools spend on lawyers and court fees? How many lawyers padded their retirement accounts with the money? Interesting that the decline of our school system began less than a handful of years after this suite was brought.

No doubt Ben. This should have never gone to court, This is 2012 not 1969.

Because doris baker says so......it's so....NOT

Doris the punishment isn,t harsh for the crimes they commit and disruption they cause and the problems they create with their attitudes ,teach them to act civilized and have manners and respect and they won,t be punished - - be citizens and want to learn not gang bang and pedal drugs and rob and steal and murder real simple -- But you can always call Jesse and AL to cause more problems they are real good leaders , leaders of creating problems from nothing just like you

Why are,nt jesse and al here protesting the murder charges against those fine students who killed a man in cold blood ? one of their fine drug deals gone bad for their gang bangin butts - but they have no discipline problems or cause any problems?

Who is Doris Baker?

Oh, I know who she is...

Tbone, your use of the word "they" is racist in tone and does not fit well with the idea of trying to work together to unite the community. It may take a little more effort but would be far more accepted if you would recognize it's only "some" people who cause trouble. The make-up of those "some" are black, white, hispanic, etc. There is no one group to point a finger at and anyone who carelessly chooses to lump any one person as a whole loses credibility. I agree with you that trouble makers need to be dealt with. But you cannot look at a person and say that person is not a good person.

This is why there will always be racism. People can't move on.

So is it considered racism every time a black applicant isn't chosen over a white one? If a black person applies should they automatically be hired because they're black? That's what it sounds like Doris Baker is saying. But wait, no, that would be racism...

Doris Baker could be a good voice for her community if she would choose her battles more wisely and work on her delivery. We cannot be sure that she is quoted in context or accurately here. However, if she is, her statement is just as racist as some of the comments. There is absolutely no evidence that the Board acted inappropriately in their decision, but there is a good bit of evidence that a fine choice was made for Superintendent.
