It seems the Trinity location is a bit out of the way and the Beltline location, with proper advertising, would bring in more people! Their prices are a bit more than Big Bob Gibson!

Grace, your info. is a bit more believable....

I gave it a try and liked it, but knew it wasn't good enough to warrant the prices. Maybe the rent is too high, but that location is looking "snake-bit".

Need to go ahead and put up a title pawn or tattoo parlor and be done with restaurants at that location.

I was very disappointed when they closed. I went there at least twice a week and really liked it. Seems like 3 months was an awfully short time to be there because based on the amount of work they did to the place they surely lost a lot of money. I also agree with the above post about the Trinity location being out of the way.

Something else to consider. If the owners state that two restaurants was "overwhelming" then why are they trying to open ANOTHER in Madison?

If two is overwhelming enough you have to close an established location that is done and built, why would you open another that needs all the work to be done to finish it and try to run it.

Sounds fishy to me.

I hate it for them, as I commend any small business trying to make it in this economy, but something doesnt sound right about the "overwhelming" statement.

if the DD wants to do an accurate article on why this place closed, maybe they should ask the owners wife!! Ha Ha!!

Hopefully we'll get another title pawn place to locate there!

Hmm

When your father inlaw is a millionaire who cares! Money is cheap! Just keep the daughter happy!

The "owners" long list of failed businesses all had one thing in common....expanding too fast. He apparently doesnt understand how overhead works and spends too much in startup costs which then has to be passed along to the customer. Its a recipe for failure. Maybe make sure you stay open a while next time before you do a spread in the paper showing how awesome it is and trying to look like a businessman. After about 4 flops, its a pattern. Some folks arent cut out to be the boss.
