Keep the stairs
do not destroy a part of your history
Athens
like Decatur always will do
Please find a workable solution to save the stairs! Eventually the building can be used as a museum and marble stairs will be so wonderful and beautiful. If you tear them out, some day everyone will bemoan the loss of the grand marble staircase and wonder why nobody had the foresight to preserve this detail! Please save the marble staircase! Once they are gone, they are gone forever.
Thank you,
James L. Walker
