FLORENCE — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a local pharmacy of several bottles of prescription narcotics at gunpoint.
Florence police detective Sgt. Cliff Billingsley said the robbery happened around 10:50 a.m. today at Tim’s Discount Pharmacy on Helton Drive.
“No one was hurt and we are actively searching for the robbery suspect at this time,” Billingsley said.
Officials said the man is traveling in a silver Ford Taurus with a spoiler on the back, and he was last seen heading down Mars Hill Road toward Chisholm Road.
Police said the robber is a white man, in his late 20s and was about 6-foot-3 tall. He was wearing a gray breast cancer awareness T-shirt and a bandana at the time of the robbery.
