Lack of parking downtown is a serious issue. The City should be planning to build a parking deck to accommodate all this growth downtown. One way to stifle visiting downtown is to start issuing tickets.
Charles Kirby says there isn't going to be any growth.
Charles Kirby is very smart.
And very large.
sure writing tickets will get alot more people down town. Way to go Kyle.
Jimmy, you want to blame this on Kyle? DId you not read the article ? The parking restrictions have been on the books for a very long time. Curbside parking is meant for downtown shoppers, not those that work at the businesses. They have actually been issuing warnings instead of tickets to those that are parking way beyond the 2 hours, which as the article stated, the usual offenders are those that are not actual customers of downtown. As a business owner, you want your customers to be able to park as close as possible, so it baffles me why one would take up the 2 hour space of a potential customer to begin with.
Calhoun the article says they haven't been enforced and now they are going to. I miss Stanford.
Jerry , you're half right.
