Making his first career start, John Michael Harbin struck out six while helping Decatur High beat rival Austin 9-6 Monday afternoon.
Jackson Fite led Decatur (3-1) at the plate, finishing 2-for-4. Matthew Pappich and Tanner Burns added one hit each.
Chase Colon had one hit for Austin (2-2).
Decatur hosts Hartselle today, while Austin hosts Athens on Friday.
Athens Bible 12, East Lawrence 2: Jacob Hagewood hit a two-run homer and Sam Bobo was strong on the mound, leading Athens Bible past East Lawrence.
Bobo got the pitching win for Athens Bible (3-0), giving up one run on two hits in four innings.
Carter Cornell led Athens Bible at the plate, finishing with three hits and two RBIs, while Cole Graviett, Douglas Fields and Andrew Dunaway each had two hits.
Jeremy Parker, Hunter Reeves, Garrett Pilgrim and Tyler Looney led East Lawrence with one hit each.
Athens Bible travels to Danville on Thursday, while East Lawrence travels to Falkville today.
Clements 11, Tanner 1: Seth Hamilton and Justin White combined for five RBIs as Clements cruised past Tanner.
Hamilton led Clements (6-0) at the plate with two doubles, a single and three RBIs, while White finished with a two doubles and two RBIs. Cole White accounted for three hits and an RBI, and Clay Russell added two hits for the Colts.
Caleb Sherrill got the win on the mound, giving up four hits and no earned runs.
Alan Rios, Tyler Dempsey and Jalen Houston each had a hit for Tanner.
Clements travels to Sheffield on Thursday.
Lawrence County 5, Brooks 1: Carson Jones gave up one run in four innings to earn the pitching win for Lawrence County.
Jones led Lawrence County at the plate, finishing with two hits, including a homer, and three RBIs. Blake Pullman added two hits and an RBI, while Jordan Simpson pounded out two hits.
Wilson 5, Lawrence County 2: The Red Devils were led by Trace White, who singled with an RBI in the loss.
Travis Thomas added a sacrice fly RBI, while Zach Terry and Cody Wilkerson each singled.
Decatur 4, James Clemens 0: Rachel Breuers scored three goals and Mollie Schmidt added one to give the Red Raiders (1-5) their first win of the season.
Laura Upton, Schmidt and Mariah Mort all recorded assists in the game.
Decatur hosts East Limestone on Friday.
West Morgan 10, Columbia 2: Payton Parker led the Rebels (3-1) with three goals and two assists.
Maribel Delgado and Brianna Thorne scored two goals each for West Morgan, while Christen Strunk, Amber Watson and Allison Shull scored one goal apiece, as West Morgan led 6-2 at half.
Hannah Amos started off in goal for the Rebels, allowing two goals and making two saves. Alanna Klaundt played the last 25 minutes in goal, adding two saves.
West Morgan plays Tanner 5 p.m. Thursday at Jack Allen Soccer Complex.
Decatur 6, Sparkman 3: Rowe Brice, Russell Griffin, Rowe Peebles and Austin Rogers posted wins in singles to put the Red Raiders (3-1) ahead early.
In doubles, teams of Firth and Brice and Griffin and Peebles finished to seal the win.
Hartselle 6, Hazel Green 2: Taylor Wascavage hit a double with one RBI and Hayes recorded two singles as the Tigers finished undefeated in the Hazel Green tournament.
Sarah Ellen Battles and Madeline Sittason each had one hit.
Kayla Faulk got the pitching win for Hartselle, striking out two while giving up five hits.
Hartselle 8, Huntsville 0: Faulk homered and singled with three RBIs as Hartselle advanced past Huntsville.
Jada Hayes finished with two singles and one RBI for Hartselle, while Ashley Boggs, Wascavage and Battles each had one hit.
Winning pitcher Emily Lipinski finished with five strikeouts, four walks and two hits.
Hartselle 8, West Morgan 1: Leah Stephenson homered and added two singles with an RBI to open the Hazel Green tournament on Saturday.
Boggs had two singles, a double and one RBI, while Baylee Holt hold added a single, a double and two RBIs.
Battles, Wascavage, Haley Jared and Sittason all singled.
Jared got the pitching win, striking out seven while giving up three hits.
Lawrence County 10, Pinson Valley 3: Winning pitcher Ashton Malcolm had one strikeout while giving up 10 hits Saturday at the Hillcrest Invitational in Tuscaloosa.
Mackenzie Hill homered with a double and five RBIs to lead Lawrence County (2-1-1) at the plate, while Victoria Draper added a single, a triple and two RBIs. Adrien Coffey also had two singles for the Red Devils.
American Christian 7, Lawrence County 6: After leading 6-2 going into the seventh inning, the Patriots pulled out a win to upset the Red Devils.
Draper, McDaniel and Hill each had three singles, while Cassidy Wise added a double and two RBIs, bringing Lawrence County.
Lawrence County hosts Buckhorn today.
