Hartselle advances in volleyball Super Regional

HUNTSVILLE — Hartselle High has moved within one win of securing a spot in the state volleyball tournament. The Lady Tigers swept Center Point 3-0 today in the opening round of the Class 5A North Super Regional at the Von Braun Center.

Hartselle advances to the quarterfinal round, which begins Saturday at 9 a.m.

Halfway through the opening day, six area teams have advanced past the opening round. Lawrence County, Brewer, East Limestone, Danville and Athens Bible all won their openers.
