No money to fund our prisons and Henry spends 3K on a sign.

Ted maybe this will benefit the kids. Hang the stinking convicts. They ought to be packed in cells like sardines and made to work and the proceeds go to fund Dixie Youth Baseball.

Forget funding our prisons, we spend more on a single inmate than we do a single student in public school.

u r so right wendell, give the money to the kids in schools.

I don't have a problem giving it to the kids.....but I fail to see how a sign to the entrance of the ball field will help the kids. Would someone care to help me out on this? Am I missing something?

@Ted

We all agree that 3000.00 for a sign is not needed. However in your first post it seems you think the money should have gone to the judicial system for prisons. I think we all know that whether the money went to the penal system or to the education system it would mishandled. Both of the systems brought up by posters on this article are very well known for misappropriating the funds that they receive. If a new sign helps people find the park so they can carry their children it may not be a total waste.

This is an example of what's wrong with this country. Is this a State issue or a local issue. The same thing happens at the national level. Take from some to give to someone else. This just breeds corruption. We need to scale government back to only the necessary functions. Let us decide the best way to spend our money.
