Again, as I've said before, you can blame the interim "COACH" that wanted to just renovate the existing fields for the softball program. She's part of the reason this is still being brought up as a problem. GLAD SHE WAS NOT HIRED as the head coach for the softball program. That would have been a joke! At least Coach Ferguson sees the need and is willing to revisit the plan for the complex. Great choice as a leader and coach for these girls! At least she's not a sloppy, inexperienced "coach/teacher" that collects our tax dollars as her salary all the while collecting supplemental pay for her "coaching" duties. The interim "COACH" didn't give a crap about and gave no thought to what message was being sent out to our female athletes. That's the reason some of those girls quit the team last year. No, she didn't take into account when the plans were being made - just "fix it up and refurbish it" is her mindset. That's right, Don Pettus - she needs to put her name on a resignation list and BE GONE!

So you're suggesting the decision to put the girls in a refurbished facility rather than at the new school rested soley with an interim coach? Well who's the rocket scientist that made that choice? Don't blame a coach/teacher, this has to be the responsibility of the council and superintendent who are suppose to be approving everything being built. If you were my employee I wouldn't hold you responsible for meeting performance goals if you're only hired to sweep the floor.
