here's some advice for free birth control. don't have sex.
that approach as worked so well too....
Best Birth Control, hold an aspirin between your knees.
Those who cannot acquire birth control through their employers may may walk across the street to the county health clinic and receive it for no charge. It is because free birth control is so widely available that employers should not be forced to incur the additional expense, and then pass the added expense on to the consumer in the form of higher prices. Morality aside, do women truly desire across the board price increases for all consumers merely to avoid a trip to the local health department? Are all to be burdened for the sake of women's convenience?
Birth control was a side effect of the drug originally developed for women who suffered complications with their menstrual cycle. So, if it is found that Viagra and/or Cialis cause sterility, will they then be included in this law? LOL! Heck, these two drugs already warn against all kinds of things, including death, but you won't see them restricted by any means.
With all the problems our state has our elected republicans choose focus on birth control and gambling? I guess by getting their constituents fired up over BS "morality" issues they can put up a smoke screen over the fact that they are doing absolutely NOTHING to help make this state better. And the sheep continue to follow along...
This is asinine. By this logic, an employer can claim to be Jehovah's Witness and refuse to over coverage that includes blood transfusions.
This is yet another reason the whole nation looks down upon Alabama as a backwards state.
Here's some advice Raleigh: Stop being a dumbass.
"Maybe you ought to have a conversation with a woman; they will tell you that birth control is for more than just (contraception).”
That sounds like good advice to me. Not ALL women take birth control for just preventing pregnancy. Google endometriosis. You might learn something every once in awhile if you were to pull your head out of your butt.
my uterus, my choice!
I think every employer should cover birth control just like they do any other medication. If the religion of the employer is against birth control, offer it and let the individual decide if it is wrong for them or don't hire anyone that isn't of their religion. Either way it is a form of control.
Can anyone tell me why is all the gop can do is study what is between a womans legs, worship the rich, accomplish nothing & bash Obama? Really people the economy is in the tank going down the tubes & Alabama's gop is studying birth control. What about jobs? Maybe one day the women voters of Alabama wil get tired of the gop trying to crawl into their bedroom and put them in the unemployment line wher they need to be. GOP Group Of Put#Tes.
Birth control is free to all women at every local health department. The editorial suggests employers incur additional insurance expense and pass that expense on to consumers in the form of higher prices. Why must the consumer pay for employer coverage when the taxpayer provides free birth control already?
OTIS - Please tell me...When is the last time you went to the Health Department and got birth control pills?
I called yesterday and spoke with a nurse to confirm that such was the case.
You apparently do not desire to mingle with the unwashed masses, and, instead, would have the public pay twice, once as consumers, and, the other as taxpayers.
Otis - Did you inquire as a person who has private medical coverage? Or, as someone who is on Medicaid? Or, as someone who has neither? Which Health Department did you call and what was the name of the nurse with whom you spoke?
"S," the nurse informed me that birth control is available to all women regardless of status. Perhaps the time has come to cite a few of your previous comment along with the date and name of the selected article. Naturally, you may desire to revise or extend your remarks. It will, no doubt, make for interesting reading. Please note that I am serving notice long after the readership has moved on to later news, and, intend this to be a one-time courtesy.
