I am eager to see who will serve as council president. A split term worked well over the past four years. Reeves served two years and Hammon is serving as President the final two years. The same plan might benefit the city over the next four years. You can bet that Hammon, Anders and Kirby will begin these discussions soon, if they haven't already. I would be happy with a split between either one of them. If Ard wins, he will have a learning curve. So, he would not be effective serving in that role, at this time. Jackson's inability to cooperate, i.e. give and take, will prevent him from serving and will continue to strangle progress in his district.

They haven't worked together in eight years why would you think that they would start now?

Charles, folks can read the council minutes and that speaks volumes. Apparently you are amongst the group that likes the direction the council takes, we will see how that works out for ya in 4 years, unfortunately Decatur will end up the worse off for it if history is any indication, but if you don't want much you should be really excited cause that's what you'll get, unfortunately so will the rest of us!
