JAMES, do actually know what a militia is or have ever seen one, a war machine, and some of this non-sense you are stating. If you have never served in the military and actually seen what a militia, or in my case "radicals" in a combat zone are, how do you have knowlege of this. You cannot prove to me or anyone else who has served in the military and have carried actual assault weapons that feed fully automatic or 3 round burst rounds are the same being sold to the public. They may look the same on the outside but as far a firing capabilities they are completely different. Public grade tactical weapons perform the same as a deer rifle or a hand gun. The problems are not with the weapons JAMES.

I have two purposes for owning a shotgun 1) To hunt when and if I please 2) To protect my wife and child from an intruder who has no thought of our safety or well being and only wants to take what we have and possibly harm us. That's all I need.

You got to remember if they find a way to infringe upon one, they will eventually try it on others. The underlying issue is that people are the problem, not guns. Cars kill more everyday, why not make them illegal? Just got to think reasonably and figure out a way to make the consequence of mass murder tougher. Banning semi-autos will just cause someone to find other means of destruction,pain, fear, and suffering and could be much more severe than a firearm.

Can you tell me exactly how many rounds I will need if my home is invaded by someone wanting to do me harm? I on the other hand am a law abiding and stable citizen who has not and do not intend to commit a crime, because I've grown up! James, do you really believe you can navigate the BATF regulations required to legally purchase a fully automatic firearm in a few weeks? If so, you are either mis-informed or ignorant of the exisitng firearms regulations concerning fully automatic firearms.

James yes you can get a fully automatic with severe restrictions. However there is no functional difference in a semi auto 308 that looks scary and a semi auto 308 hunting rifle. As far as larg capacity mags, you know as well as I do that changing out a 10 round mag 3 times adds mere seconds to the time needed to empty a 30 round clip. When I see politicians who have no clue the difference in a semi auto and an auto, or who think that no semi autos are used for hunting, or who think for some reason that a shotgun can do less damage in a close range setting than a semi auto rifle, I get concerned if they have a clue what they are talking about. Also for my home defense I prefer a 12 gauge pump, but a 9mm that I can carry in my care with a 15 round clip does not make me a threat to the general population and certainly makes me feel safer.
