There were no reports of a tornado developing after a warning was issued about 5:48 a.m. today, a National Weather Service meteorologist said.
Brian Carcione in Huntsville said the warning had been lifted shortly after 6 p.m. A tornado watch that remained in effect was lifted later.
The tornado warning was issued for northwestern Morgan County, which includes Decatur and Trinity, southern Limestone County and northeastern Lawrence County.
The weather service said radar indicated a thunderstorm near Trinity was capable of producing a tornado. The storm was moving east at 40 mph.
