The depot is worth $145,000 for the building and property. Lets dump 2.5 million into it. People wonder why Decatur has no money for cost of living raises for employees and retireies. The city council should be ashamed.

Agreed Nat

$2.5 million for "additional police officer offices"? gimme a break.

A transportation museum? For people to vivist I assume. After the 9 people in Decatur who would actually care to visit the place has seen it . . . who else do they expect to show up?

Could they not just buy the annex building they pay rent at now for about 10% of the total price? That would save the same money.

Funny thing about these posts, its always me, my and mine. Not the good of the city and Tony I realize that people with your mentality are only interested in visiting the local buffet's.
