ATHENS — A Limestone County man was charged with murder after allegedly killing his cousin in a dispute over borrowed movies, Sheriff Mike Blakely said.
Kenny Dewayne Adams, 35, is accused of stabbing Yancy Foster, 34, with a knife during a fight Monday at 2:36 p.m. in the Crisway Apple trailer park on Blackburn Road, Blakely said.
Both men were neighbors in the trailer park west of Athens.
Blakely said Adams apparently stabbed Foster once in the chest at the victim’s mobile home during the altercation. Foster died as MedFlight flew him to an area hospital.
Adams was being held in Limestone County Jail. Bond has not been set.

While it is unclear whether last month’s Bank Independent robberies in Morgan County are linked, Decatur police have not yet developed a suspect from Friday night’s heist.
Decatur police Lt. Denise Buchli said no arrests have been made since a drive-through teller window at Bank Independent at The Crossings was robbed about 8 p.m. Friday.
Police said a man approached the Decatur drive-through on foot Friday and demanded money. Some of the stolen money was recovered after the suspect ran south after the robbery.
The drive-through at Bank Independent in Hartselle was robbed Dec. 4 and Dec. 7 by a man on foot.
No injuries have been reported in any of the three robberies.
Officials at Bank Independent at The Crossings declined to comment about the investigation Monday morning.
Anyone with information about Friday’s robbery is asked to contact Decatur police at 256-341-4660.
Information about the Hartselle robberies can be reported to police at 256-773-6534

LACEY’S SPRING — Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop Sunday night at Alabama 36 and Double Creek Road in Lacey’s Spring and arrested an Albertville woman for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Michelle Lyn Cherry, 28, of 8166 Pleasant Grove Road, was released from Morgan County Jail on Monday in lieu of $2,800 bail.
In a search of the vehicle, deputies located a plastic sandwich bag containing methamphetamine known as ice, Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin said. Agents from the Morgan County Drug Task force came to the scene and arrested Cherry.
Her vehicle also was occupied by an 11-year-old child.
Deputies and agents went to the child’s residence and conducted a welfare check in order to ensure the child was in no danger and the living conditions were acceptable.
Franklin said the child is now in the care of his father.

WHAT are these people looking for in this meth junk. Are they trying to escape life as being too hard?
Basically I would answer your question with a yes.
Probably so Orville . . . I would almost be inclined to let them cook and smoke away provided it did not get in the hands of children. Would take about 3 months for nature to take its course
Seems like they always have kids.
