A Decatur man accused of snatching his 2-year-old daughter from her Homewood day care and fleeing has been found, and the child is safe, Decatur police said.
John Augustine, 45, did not have custody of India Augustine and was considered an imminent danger to the child, said Decaur police Sgt. George Silvestri.
Silvestri said Morgan County Circuit Judge Glenn Thompson issued a court order to law enforcement officers to take India into police protective custody.
