HATTON — Sydney Terry had 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Hatton girls to a 60-40 victory Tuesday over visiting East Lawrence.
The Hornets jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead as they ran their record to 2-0.
Boston Claborn added 10 points and seven rebounds and Ashley Saint had nine points for Hatton.
Brooke White paced East Lawrence with nine points.
Huntland 50, Decatur Heritage 28: The Decatur Heritage girls trailed only by three Tuesday at the half, but couldn’t keep up with visiting Huntland.
Bekah Voss led the Eagles (4-2) with 13 points and Maddie Vinton and Savanna Naylor added seven each.
Alex Smith had 19 points to lead Huntland.
Westminster Christian 40, Ardmore 37: Ardmore outscored visiting Westminster 21-9 in the fourth quarter but the rally fell short.
Sarah Tipton had 14 points to lead Ardmore (2-2) and Stratton Hobbs had 10.
Hannah Sharp scored 11 points to lead Westminster Christian (1-3) nipped Ardmore despite being outscored 21-9 in the fourth quarter.
Westminster Christian 65, Ardmore 40: A one-point second quarter spelled defeat for Ardmore in its season opener.
Ben Hargrove had 12 points to lead the Tigers.
Jacob Parker led Westminster (2-0) with 16 points, Martin Crawford had 14, Josh Patton had 11 and Jay Madison added 10.
