According to a published report, suspended Alabama wide receiver Duron Carter has applied for admission to Florida Atlantic.
The report came from OwlAccess.com, which credited an unnamed source with the information. Alabama coach Nick Saban is scheduled to address reporters this morning at SEC Media Days.
A former standout at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Carter played for a year at Ohio State before transferring to Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College. He then transferred to Alabama in time for the 2011 season but never suited up for the Crimson Tide.
He did not participate in spring practice and was not listed in the Alabama media guide, which was released this week.
