Alabama coach Nick Saban said today LaMichael Fanning showed “very, very poor judgment” when he tackled Missouri running back Russell Hansbrough by picking him up and slamming him into the turf Saturday in the Tide’s 42-10 win. Fanning was flagged for a personal foul penalty on the play.
“He’s a young player excited about playing in game,” Saban said. “He made a very, very poor judgment. Something we don’t condone. It’s not how we want players to play.”
A 6-foot-7, 298-pound redshirt freshman defensive lineman, Fanning will face internal discipline, and Saban said that includes writing letters of apology to Hansbrough and Missouri coach Gary Pinkel.

Thug life. That's the new football players.
Rebecca.....the next time you decide to say something......do us all a favor and save your breath. that post was just plain STUPID
I agree with Crystal. Broad statements like Rebecca's are a sign of an ignorant person.
I would like to see the letter the player will write. Glad that Coach Saban is making him owe up to what was done. Some acts on the field by players are uncalled for.
I's is ignert.
