Looks like a Morgan County School bus to me.
That is a west morgan school bus which is a morgan county school bus get it together decatur daily
You folks are missing the whole point!
So what is the point?
The point is . . . what Intellectual Dynamo decided that a bus pickup point would be on Hwy 20 . . . pretty busy highway. Surely there is a place where the bus could pull off out of major traffic flow.
How about this headline : Students board a school bus on hwy.20 or - school bus stop on busy hwy. or it's ridiculous for traffic to have to stop for a darned ole school bus on hwy. 20.
I've been caught in this - 2 buses unloading! This should be addressed, hard to believe there isn't a solution.
INS with a bus?
School buses have been loading & unloading there for years and the public has expressed concern for safety before. Why is this so startling now?
because it takes several minutes to completely load/unload two buses
This has been a stop for 20+ years. Nothing new except the number of students that board this bus. Even if the bus pulled over out of major traffic flow on the shoulder, by law the traffic would still have to stop when the caution lights and stop sign went out. But, at least the students are not having to cross any lanes of traffic.
Yes, this is a MORGAN COUNTY bus because Decatur City Schools did not annex the tralier park into their school district; they went around it. School bus safety is always an issue regardless of where it is located and everyone should exercise extra attention in these areas.
I don't think they annexed around it. Nothing close to that park is in the city, including the industry. Most annexation occurs because a property owner requests it. In this case, he probably feels his costs are less to be in the city. BTW - trailer parks may be illegal in the city.
Increase in Hispanic population at trailer park causes traffic delays on HWY 20.
John, you crazy :-)
