Tanner students give football team rousing sendoff

As Tanner High football players depart on a bus for their championship game in Auburn, fellow students cheer their sendoff today.

TANNER - Students and teachers gave the Tanner High football team a rousing sendoff this morning to the Class 2A state finals in Auburn.

Principal Billy Owens let class out briefly to cheer the Rattlers in their departure.

Students will follow on a school bus Friday morning.

Rattlers coach Laron White said his team will work out at 3 p.m. today in Auburn University's indoor practice facility and go for dinner.

Tanner (13-0) plays Washington County (13-1) Friday at 3 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
