You never know what is driving beside or in front or behind you out on the road. It's just like an international hiway with diverse people including drug runners and smugglers and then just mean and bad people.
mostly Idiots in cars trying to drive and text on their phones not paying attention and running over innocent people like the man on the bike I,m sure the truck cut him off because he thought he was bigger and had the right of way no matter what - - no one respects anyone on a motorcycle or watches for motorcycles and especially the Idiots playing with their phones. the trucks entering and leaving the truck stop in priceville will run into you and pull out in front of you and cut you off , and run you off the road or run over you if you are in their way they think they own the road and don,t have to obey traffic laws like anyone else -- when you are on the road they think its ok to push you down the interstate if you aren,t going fast enough to suit them -- they are out of control like the rest of the texting Idiots -- try driving uo and down hwy 67 some time real morons out there , dangerous morons that have no right to drive a dangerous vehicle
hey believe it or not people on Motorcycles have rights just like the rest of the crap on the road and have to watch every fool in their cars and trucks because they don,t have sense enough to drive or watch for motorcycles
But I guess its ok that he caused the rider to wreck hurting his wife and destroying a 15 or 20 thousand dollar bike because the truck driver needed to get to the truck stop no matter what was in his way so he could buy a donut and some coffee and pee
Tbone, How Are You Going To Fill When You Find Out You Wrong, If You Are Wrong
I don't know the whole story here. I ride a motorcycle, and I can tell you if a careless, texting person hits me they better hope I don't get up.
Tbone might be wrong, but the odds are in his favor.
Although very rare, I was in my jeep a few weeks ago and was ran off the road by a woman on a motorcyle, I was approaching a stop sign slowly as she turned very wide into my lane, I rammed the brakes and swerved and missed her by maybe 1 foot. Her husband or boyfriend was following behind her and threw up his hand as to say" sorry bro ". We all need to be more careful or we will be riding in a pinebox.
I would have liked to see the guy climb up in the cab in the truck. He must have looked like a crazy monkey. I bet that was one suprised truck driver. I hope no one was too seriously injured. As far as motorcycle vs. big truck - they are not the only ones who show little or no respect. There are far too many people driving, sometimes this includes me, who are distracted by the radio, the kids, eating, cell phones, etc. Then sometimes drivers are just rude. This morning someone pulled out in front of me from a church parking lot (they do not have a day care) only to turn just a few feet down the road. There was no one behind me. This person was just a little too impatient to wait a few extra seconds to get to the produce stand (literally). On the other hand, I try to realize that when someone pulls in front of me or takes the parking space I was sitting and waiting on, I have no idea what they are going through. Yes, some are just selfish, but others are ill, have lost their jobs or lost their loved ones. If we would all be a little more patient and respectful of others maybe some of this wouldn't happen.
I,d be willing to bet I,m not wrong , bet the truck cut them off or forced them off the road not paying attention or thinking they are god of the road
Regardless, looks who's in jail! Biker boy should be darn lucky this guy did not pull a gun and shoot him! Castle Law applies to vehicles also! Who leaves an injured person in the middle of the road to start a fight anyways?
Judys motorcycle riding husband
It should be self defense. I'll wager the IDOIT in the truck was at fault. He better be glad the rider didn't have a gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant help but love the way everyone is blasting the truck driver...I doubt any of you witnessed the wreck and without all the facts you shouldnt be so quick to judge...maybe the truck driver was at fault but if I read it right there was also a motorcycle in that wreck...he could also be at fault...I will agree that some truck drivers think they own the road but at the same time there are a lot of idiots riding around on 2 wheels that have no business being on the road...wait for the facts then you can rag on whos at fault.........
Accidents happen all the time for whatever reason, but that doesn't give ANYBODY the right to go after someone with a knife. The guy is lucky the truck driver didn't have a gun because blowing his face off for coming after him with a knife would have been justified, IMHO.
I am sure there are good law abiding motorcycle riders and drivers just as there are good law abiding car riders and drivers. But, motorcycles don't "Own" the road either. Driving on my road, motorcycle behind me, speed limit 30, me making right turn into my driveway - giving my right turn signal...a motorcycle races up to my bumper then passes me ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE as I am turning. Luckily, I saw him in time just to stop or I would have flattened him. Another motorcycle weaving in and out of traffic in front of Wal-Mart on Hwy 157 in Moulton. Cars were stopping to let him pass. Once he passed all of them he flipped them off. MOTORCYCLES NEED TO OBEY THE TRAFFIC RULES TOO.
I am a motorcycle rider and will have to agree that there are many irresponsible motorcycle riders out there that think they are hot stuff on 2 wheels. Folks that ride like that give others a bad image of the whole lot of us that ride. On the issue of this incident...there are always 3 sides to each story....his, theirs, and the truth. Let the cream rise to the top.
I hope the motorcycle driver looks back at what he does and feels regret for not staying with his wife on the road. She must have been hurt worse than he was if she was airlifted to the hospital.
I bet the biker will plea temp insanity. I as a juror would have no problem convicting the biker for attempted murder, the reason is this his actions were done out of malice where as the others actions were simply an oversight of the right of way being occupied. I know that a lot of posters have said let the facts come forth and I agree but so should have the biker.
It seem's that there is no etiquette any more. I would hate to think that if my wife was laying there and she may not survive that I chose to fight with someone as opposed to comforting my love one.
