stupid truck jockey doing what they do best disobey laws and think they own the road

stupid guy on motorcylce attacking someone with a knife following an accident.

How bout this...they were both STUPID!

I am surprised this has not happened more often the way truck drivers act as if they own the roads. Because of their size they have no fear of pulling out in front of any traffic.

Folks, it doesn't matter if the truck driver did something wrong or not, this did not give the motorcycle driver the right to attack the truck driver. How would you like it if you were at fault for a wreck and were attacked with a knife or gun by the other person? There are already TV shows that are trying enhance the negative stereotype of bike riders and this does not help. I ride myself and I know that I am taking a bigger chance of getting hurt because I have limited protection if I have lay my bike down, so that does not give me an excuse to attack somebody if they do cause me to lay it down. The truck driver, though he might have been at fault (we don't know that for sure yet) was not purposely trying to hurt somebody and probably is somebody's grandfather trying to make a living, but it seems some of you sound like you want to justify him being attacked. What if that was your father or grandfather? Would you be so quick to judge him as somebody that "thinks he owns the road", or would you say that he was just doing his job and made a bad decision? Driving a big truck, do you realize how hard it is to see a motorcycle? Unfortunately accidents happen all the time and as riders we have to be very diligent because of those that do not pay attention to us. We also must keep our cool and not take the law into our own hands when something bad happens.

Calhoun, I'm sure most will agree with you that this went too far. But I'm sure most have the same thought I have and that is enough is enough! It's time someone got serious about all of the distracted, selfish, and just plain ignorant drivers out there who don't seem to give a rat's behind about anyone else. I absolutely wish the state could hire 1,000 more troopers, put them on the roadway and REQUIRE them to write tickets to every driver who fails to follow the traffic laws to the letter. I know this sounds extreme but the roads have become so dangerous due to so many bad drivers. And it's not getting any better.

The man should me charged with attempted murder. He willfully attacked another to induce bodily harm. Just because he was in an accident doesn't relieve him from being held accountable for his actions. If I were on a jury I would not hesitate finding the motorcyclist to be malice with his actions.

I've been cut off a many time by Truckers and Motorcyclist, Hey it happens there's more people on the road now just say to yourself They didn't see me so lets just let it go. Now if they start to harass you like it has happened with me before on the interstate just dial *HP and tell them know where your at and whats going on they will show up sooner than you think.

I like how most get on here and say stupid drivers ignorant drivers come on people we all have had close calls and done stupid crap behind the wheel dont act like your perfect ........I believe everyone should have to drive a 18 wheeler for a day I drove one local in decatur/priceville area cars pulled out in front of me all day long !!!! and for the motorcycle riders alot {NOT ALL} like to show out on thier two wheeler or show you how loud the pipes are so the motorcycles speed could have been a factor to

FROM A REALITY POINT OF VIEW AND HAVEING INVESTIGATED MANY ACCIDENTS TO INCLUDE MOTORCYCLES===DID ANYONE EVER CONSIDER THE SUN GLARE, ANOTHER VEHICLE AND MAYBE BY DAMNED THE TRUCK DRIVER JUST DIDNT SEE THE FLEA AKA CYCLE. WHAT A BUCH OF DUMB ASSED READERS --MUST ALL BE FROM DECATUR. SUCK ON THAT BOYS AND GIRLS.

William is so cool!!!!!!! and likes to call people names sitting behind a computer!!!! thats on tough guy get of your moms computer!!!!

tbone, I run a local route in this area sure would like to put you in truck and see what we put up with everyday just trying to do my job!

I pray that none of the judgemental people making comments ever cause an accident, because what are you going to say then? Are you going to accept the fault or argue about it. I guarantee if it was a loved one of the people throwing around rude comments, then it would be a different attitude. Have some empathy for others, it could be you pulling out in from of someone because you did not see them for whatever reason. Again, if you are not involved, you cannot make a judgement call on this. This driver may not have seen they cyclist. Also, keep in mind, without trucks delivering products to our areas, we do not have food, clothing, etc. They are an essential part of our commerce system. I have lived in foreign countries where the only deliveries were by ship, items are usually about three times what we pay for it in the states. So, while this driver made a mistake, truckers are essential to the lifestyles we have become accustomed to. Think about what you post before having diarrhea of the mouth.

Hey guys two wrongs def dont make a right. But getting to ride in a helicopter was not on my agenda for the day either. It just all got out of hand. But i cant really say how i would have reacted if Wayne had been the one injured because out of the both of us i am the one with the temper. I can honestly say i would have prob went after the guy myself because he drove a pretty good ways before he pulled over so i dont know if he even planned on stopping. I have asked Wayne what was goin thru his mind and he said he blanked out. Call it fear, shock, adrenaline whatever it was-we are all human.
