They must not give awards for never getting a story completely correct. The Daily would win Grand Champion in that!!

Best in Screwing up Facts,First place, Decatur Daily staff.

No award for most slanted....?

" third place for both Best Editorial Page".... and Eric wins several awards !!!!!!!. Guys, I am proud for you, I really am. But the editorial stance at the Daily has got to change! If another paper was available locally, the Daily would fold instantly. At least give opposing editorial views and don't slant articles to met your agenda - we see through all of that and it gets insulting to we the readers. There is great power in the press. That's why the founding fathers gave it special mention. I just wish our only local paper and news source would use that power for good.

Congratulations, Decatur Daily!

I send my sincere congratulations to Gary Cosby, Jr. for his awards. His pictorial coverage of the April 2011 tornadoes deserves an international award. I know that a couple of those pictures were featured on The Drudge Report, as well as other national and international publications. Many people are photographers, but very few photographers have the gift of conveying the emotion and feeling behind those pictures. Gary has that gift. His pictures portrayed the loss, strife, and the indomitable spirit of survival within the citizens of our state who were affected by these horrible storms.

On the other hand, Eric Flushhouser and Don Hudson need to be fired. See Billy's post above for explanation.

Clint, it's time you paid attention to what's going on at your newspaper.

every paper that can afford to wins awards every year from some organization, do a little reserch. DD is a joke but they keep on keeping on. congrats! haha
